I spent the day in Washington, DC at the Around the World International Food Festival.
I saw several performances, including a singer from Romania and a bellydance troupe dancing to Egyptian music.
Vendors and food stands lined the adjacent street. A plethora of cuisines were represented. My lunch consisted of empanadas “riquísimas”
(In Spanish, the word “rico,” meaning “rich” is used to mean “delicious” or “succulent” Here I have attached the superlative ending to indicate “very”).
I learned about a project dedicated to serving ethnic migrant communities around the world through events, media, associations, etc.
