Summer Reading

Summer is a time of sun and fun.

It is also a time to catch up on reading that we’ve been putting off through the course of the year due to work commitments.

But with the academic year on pause and most people taking at least a week off work, now is the perfect time to grab a book and recline by the beach or pool or curl up with blanket in the comfort of the air conditioning.

Before heading out for vacation, I recommend stopping at the library or bookstore. There is something magical about browsing the shelves and holding your chosen book before taking it home.

While the occasional “beach read” can be quite entertaining, check out the New York Times Bestseller List or your local book club for ideas.

And of course, don’t forget the classics for a bit of a challenge. The required reading lists from our school and college days bring fond memories and valuable lessons.

What’s on your summer reading list?
